Overview

Our client is seeking an Enterprise Networking Solutions Engineer to join their team in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their engineers are the foundation of success for both customers and the business. This role is a hands-on, client-facing position focused on designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver best-practice network solutions that are reliable, scalable, and highly available

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex client network issues

  • Develop project proposals including Bills of Materials (BoM), services estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs)

  • Deliver post-implementation documentation to clients

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Serve as a hands-on post-sales engineer supporting networking deployments

  • Install, configure, and upgrade network infrastructure (routers, switches, etc.)

  • Anticipate industry trends and align solutions with client business objectives

  • Conduct discovery, audits, and documentation of client environments

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in client engagements

  • Maintain and expand relevant technical certifications

Ideal Candidate Profile

Our client is looking for a collaborative, customer-focused engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality networking solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise, problem-solving ability, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco networking technologies including:

    • Switching (Layer 2 & Layer 3)

    • Routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

    • Data center networking

    • Wireless, firewalls, VPN, QoS, MPLS

  • Proficiency with IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS

  • Experience with routers, Catalyst/Nexus switches, SD-WAN, and next-generation firewalls

  • Ability to design new network architectures and communicate complex concepts clearly

  • Strong documentation, presentation, and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cisco and Meraki wireless networks

  • Familiarity with other wireless platforms (Mist, Aruba, Arista)

  • Strong understanding of 802.11 protocols and wireless design

  • Experience with wireless surveys, predictive and physical design, and spectrum analysis tools

  • Ability to design for a variety of wireless environments (office, high-density, voice, high-bandwidth)

  • Experience with:

    • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

    • Cisco DNA Center

    • Meraki cloud networking

  • Experience gathering requirements, whiteboarding solutions, and building BoMs and SOWs

  • Advanced certifications (CCIE, CCNP Wireless, CWNA) or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of networking experience supporting complex environments

  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field
